Overview
Tusheti is a journey in two parts: the road over Abano Pass, then the quiet of the plateau. We move with local horsemen, sleep in family guesthouses and give the mountains the final word on each day’s plan.

Drive into Pshavi and stay beneath the pass.
Day 2
Over Abano Pass
Cross the road into Tusheti and arrive in Omalo.
Day 3
Omalo’s upper village
Fortress walk, horse introduction and a first highland dinner.
Day 4
Dartlo trail
Ride between stone towers and stop for a shepherd’s lunch.
Days 5–7
Remote Tusheti
Horse days through valleys, shrines and villages without roads.
Days 8–9
Back to the lowlands
Weather-led descent and a final night near Tbilisi.
